Air Passenger Duty (APD) charges increase from 01/02/07

An increase in APD payable comes into effect from 1st February 2007.  All passengers travelling on and after this date are required to pay an additional amount to the airline.

In order to avoid disruption to your travel arrangements, London Luton Airport strongly recommend passengers to contact their airline and pay APD in advance of travel and before coming to the Airport.

London Luton Airport is not involved in either charging or collecting this tax.  The Air Passenger Duty (APD) is imposed on passengers by the government.

APD is paid to the airline and collected by the government once the journey has taken place. There are different rates of APD depending on the ticket types and journey type (i.e. EU/non-EU).
