Monarch Scheduled has announced it s winter 2007 / 08 schedule. The airline will be continuing some of its summer routes into the winter.
On the 26th February, Low-cost airline easyJet opened new head offices at Luton Airport. Four of easyJet’s longest serving staff members cut officially opened the airline’s new home, known as Hanger 89.
Important information for the Airport’s local communities, passengers and staff
From the 5th of February, the contractor, Birse, will begin works that will involve the complete rebuilding of the roundabout adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express at London Luton Airport. In order to ensure that the works are delivered safely and expeditiously, the alternative route into the Airport, Percival Way, will be closed to through traffic. For those travelling from the East, diversions will be in place.
An increase in APD at London Luton Airport is payable from 1st February 2007.
Silverjet and London Luton Airport sign ground-breaking deal to create fastest check-in, security and boarding process
Silverjet, the first British airline to offer a low fare, exclusively business class transatlantic service today announces a deal with London Luton airport to build a separate terminal experience, modelled on a private jet facility, which will take all 100 passengers from arrival to aircraft within 30 minutes.
London Luton Airport is currently undertaking essential re-surfacing works to Percival Way. These works are currently expected to be completed in time for Christmas.
Passengers travelling from London Luton Airport are advised that the drop off zone adjacent to the terminal building will re-open on Wednesday 15th November 2006.
Ajet Airways update
London Luton Airport would like to advise passengers that Ajet Airways Ltd. has cancelled all flights to Cyprus from London Luton with immediate effect.

NEW security restrictions on hand luggage are now in place.
Passengers are now permitted to carry small amounts of liquids through security search at the Airport, in line with Department for Transport guidelines.
